Still waiting to see if a group of strippers will have to pay fines in Vernon county.

 

Nine women were busted in December for some apparently naked wiggle at Gunners Bar in De Soto. But the arrests came under a bogus ordinance, according to Todd Schraeder, an attorney who's representing seven of the wome.   He says, generally, the Vernon county rule tries to restrict constitutionally protected expression.  

 

 

 

But Schraeder also says the ordinance is overly broad; perhaps even reaching into homes to restrict erotic dancing or even videos of erotic dancing. He's filed briefs outlining those and other arguments with the circuit court in Vernon county.
