Six digit wage earners working for the city of La Crosse? According to our examination of pay records from city hall, there was only four who earned a wage of over a hundred thousand dollars in 2009. City attorney Stephen Matty is at the top of the heap, earning a little over 103 thousand dollars last year. Police Chief Ed Kondracki is second, then Public Works director, Dale Hexom. Then fire chief Gregg Cleveland. Just missing the 100 K cut-off; now-retired drug investigator, Cary Joholski who made just under 100 thousand which includes slightly over 11 thousand dollars in overtime.
