MIN WAGE PASSES

February 10, 2009 by Mitch

Kapanke Votes 'No' on Minimum Bill

Party line vote on a new, higher minimum wage in Wisconsin. The state senate has approved a new minimum of $7.60 an hour. La Crosse senator Dan Kapanke joined his Republican colleagues in voting against it. He says, it's just the wrong time. He says small businesses are struggling right now and a higher minimum would force those businesses to cut employees. Kapanke has, in the past, voted for minimum wage hikes.
