A music teacher at Onalaska is facing charges of stalking and domestic assault, for allegedly threatening to kill a man at her home.
Winona County has filed seven charges against Sandra Kauphusman of Winona, who teaches at Onalaska Middle School. A criminal complaint says Kauphusman would not let her male roommate out of her residence one day in March. The man says that Kauphusman picked up a knife and said 'I'm going to kill you,' and also scratched his face and pulled his hair as he tried to leave. The victim reportedly recorded some of the confrontation on a cellphone video. The county prosecutor says the man and woman have been in a relationship for 15 years.
