Police are investigating a suspicious death in a southside Tucson Arizona neighborhood. And the 50 year old woman has local ties.

According to Sgt. Chris Widmer, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday police responded to a home on the cities southside. A man returning home from work called 911 after finding his girlfriend, 50 year old Carol Straub, dead inside with obvious signs of trauma.

Detectives from Tucson's Police Department Homicide Unit are handling the investigation of the 1982 Holmen graduate who still has family in the area.
