We still don't know when ticket gates will be fired up in La Crosse's parking ramps...but the city parking board has agreed on what to charge drivers.

A preliminary vote taken by the board on Monday calls for a two-hour grace period, followed by an hourly charge of a dollar-and-a-half. The gates also would be kept on every night of the year. The proposed charge would be tied to a shorter period of free parking on the street...only 90 minutes, instead of the current two hours.

Minnesota Judge Denies Diocese Requests

Written by

Ramsey County Minnesota Judge John Van de North has decided that documents and information and additional names of priests credibly accused of sexual abuse should be released in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis and the Diocese of Winona.

Van de North also decided that the depositions of Archbishop John Nienstedt and Father Kevin McDonough can be taken as part of a civil lawsuit.

The Archdiocese and Diocese of Winona have fought for years to keep the names and information secret and the Archdiocese has objected to the depositions of both top Archdiocesan officials.
