More Election Results From Tuesday

Besides the Onalaska referendum ballot questions Tuesday, there were some primary elections held in the area.

 

In the Tomah Mayoral race, two people will move on to the April election. Le Roy Kelsey brought in 285 votes, while Shannon Hough, running for the 2nd time now, brought in 139. In third, Jeremy Likely had 94 votes.

 

Voters in the Westby School District chose two people to advance for an at large school board seat. Gerald Roethel brought in the the most votes while Andrew Lipski came in second.

 

Moving on to the April election for the Town of Holland Board Supervisor 4, are Michael Hoffman and Jay Bratberg.

Onalaska Referendum Questions Passed Tuesday

All three Onalaska School District referendum questions on the ballot Tuesday passed. Here's a breakdown of the vote totals for all three.

 

Question one asked for the school district to exceed state funding by $1.9 million for ongoing operational expenses.  1,494 yes; 864 no

 

Question two to go above state funding for technology by $500 thousand every year for the next five years. 1,494 yes; 864 no

 

And question three bonds of $16 million for construction/remodel of Northern Hills and Irving Pertzsch Elementary Schools. 1,528 yes; 835 no
