The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office has concluded an investigation of several burglaries that occurred in September and October of 2012. A Baraboo man, 27 year old Anthony Keepers allegedly confessed to burglarizing 13 homes in the Lake Delton and Baraboo areas while armed with a handgun in October of 2012. Keepers also told Sauk County detectives that he had committed thefts and burglaries in the Wisconsin Dells and Lacrosse area.
Keepers was arrested by Sparta Police on October 8th of last year after he led police on a high speed chase into La Crosse County in a stolen car before losing control and flipping his car. Evidence in the car led to information to his involvement in burglaries that occurred in Sauk County.
The investigation has been sent to the Sauk County D.A.'s Office for review and charges. Keepers still remains in the Monroe County Jail. He's in court there this morning.
