Golatt Arrested For Strangling Death Of RodgersA La Crosse murder victim died of strangling, but her death is still considered drug-related... Today, a 44-year-old man was arrested for the killing of Kristen Rodgers. Izelia Golatt is scheduled in court this afternoon, to be charged with first-degree murder. La Crosse Police Chief Ed Kondracki says if people want to reduce the amount of drug abuse and related crimes in this area, they should be willing to report drug activity.
Kondracki says the police need more resources to investigate drug use, and prevent crimes such as the Rodgers murder. Golatt was captured at his home near the Green Island arena.
Extra Tickets Available For Onalaska PlayoffWant to see the Onalaska boys play in a game that could take them to the state basketball tournament? Starting at 3 this afternoon, tickets for tomorrow's playoff game at Marshfield will be sold at the commons of Onalaska High School. The line will form outside the circle drive, and members of the public will not be let into the building until 2:35. Marshfield has opened up 400 extra tickets for the sectional finals, between the Hilltoppers and Antigo. The game begins at 5 p-m Saturday.

A former pastor could face a life sentence in Wisconsin if he is found guilty of sexual assault of a child as a persistent repeater in Monroe County. 64 yer old Michael Delaney of Tomah, was arrested January 2th7 for repeatedly sexually assaulting a child. Prosecutors says Delaney targeted the same victim over an extended period while he was employed as a pastor and over the road trucker. The allegations were brought to the Tomah Police Department back in December. Delaney is allged to have sexually assaulteda 13 year old boy in 2008. The teen said on various occasions Delaney would ask to see and touch his genitals. Delaney also forced the teen to perform oral sex and watch pornography and threatened to tell people the teen was gay if he reported the abuse. Delaney most recently served as a pastor at the Church of God of Prophecy in Necedah. He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse in Arizona in 1983 and was sentenced to prison.
