Judge Says No To Osseo-Fairchild Appeal

A state judge on Thursday dismissed an appeal by the Osseo-Fairchild school district to allow the district to retain its Chieftains logo, setting the stage for a new mascot for the district.
The district has until July 27th to remove the Chieftains name and come up with a new mascot, logo and nickname.

The issue has been around since 2002 and has not only split the community there but also sparked much debate and even a referendum 2 weeks ago.
