Alternate Side Parking Season Kick-Off

There might not be many ten dollar tickets on windshields this morning, but they're coming.

Tis the season after all. Alternate side parking ticket season is on. Started at one this morning. So, today's November first. That means, this morning you needed to be parked on the odd side of the street. Tomorrow it's the even side. And so on. Ten dollar tickets in La Crosse. Among communities that have hiked the alternate side ticket prices in recent years. That price bump last year may explain why La Crosse traffic cops wrote fifty percent fewer tickets last winter than the year before.  But part of that explanation also may be the parking study conducted around UWL last year.   Cars were exempted from alternate side parking rules except after notification by the city for things like snow emergencies.
