School Board Member Says Cuts Unavoidable

School cuts are absolutely necessary. The La Crosse school board certainly has no doubt about that. School board member, Neil Duresky says a combination of shortcuts in state funding, rising costs, a flawed state funding formula and the recession have left the district no choice but to make cuts. The board has approved cutting nearly three dozen positions for the coming year. Other cuts are coming in technology, and co-currilcular activities.
