The Little Car That Could
It's amazing the kind of abuse cars can take before they run out of steam. Like the little Pontiac Sunfire that 22 year old Kimberly Dickinson was driving early this morning in the northside industrial park in La Crosse. Police say the Onalaska woman hit a guard rail and a concrete post and then continued driving for quite a ways before finally coming to a stop. It's suprising she was able to go at all. Both airbags had deployed, her windshield was smashed, the rear bumper had nearly fallen off, the front passenger tire was flat, the rim solidly bent, rivers of various fluids leaking. Dickinson said she had two drinks at a bar in West Salem. Probably more than that; police say she blew a .20.
