Regents Take Up Student Union

A new $53 million student union building at UW-L goes in front of the UW

System Regents this morning. Chancellor Joe Gow says one presentation that will be given to the Regents is how paying for the building will work.

The interior space will house the university bookstore, food service venues, study areas, lounges, student senate chambers, dining areas, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, admissions offices and more. If approved, construction would start in July 2014. The building is anticipated to open in July 2016.
