Group says Job Growth Differs with Region

When it comes to jobs in Wisconsin, not all areas of the state are created equal.  That's the latest from the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance, which, in its latest report, parses out jobs growth to find vast discrepancies in the state from one region to the next.  Over the dozen yeas from 2000-2012, the group finds the counties around Madison were the biggest job creators in the state.  But the region containing La Crosse county was a close second, with job growth of five percent during that period.  Meanwhile, the manufacturing-heavy southeast actually lost a significant number of jobs.  Down 5.7% from 2000 on.  That same area also witnessed a loss of nearly a fourth of total manufacturing jobs.
