Two Men Charged With La Crosse Woman's Drug Death

Two months ago, a young woman in La Crosse died from a drug overdose.
Now,her fiance and a friend of his are charged with causing the woman's death. City police say Mitchell Perner provided heroin to his girlfriend, Shelby Perkins, before she died on May 21st. The next day, Perner called police and admitted to buying the heroin from Cory Koopman of Sparta. The two men were arrested yesterday, and they're appearing in La Crosse County court today on reckless homicide charges.
