Campaign Finance Filings Show Light Fundraising

Raising huge piles of campaign cash doesn't appear to be a priority for most area state lawmakers.  New campaign reports due this week in Madison show a less than exuberant pace of fundraising for legislators in the La Crosse area.  State senator Kathleen Vinehout has collected the most cash for the first six months of the year, gathering nearly 15 thousand dollars.   On the other end of the spectrum is Westby state rep Lee Nerison, who reports raising nothing for the first half of this year, though he does have a little more than five thousand dollars on hand.  State Senator Jennifer Shilling has about 12 hundred dollars in the bank and assemblyman Steve Doyle has over 15 thousand.  La Crosse state rep Jill Billings doesn't yet have a report listed online.
