You know the expression 'person of interest'...used when police think they know who might have committed a crime?

La Crosse County Sheriff's officers think they have such a 'person' in mind for the murders of a Barre Mills couple, but they prefer to say it's a 'suspect.' 

Talking about the May slayings of Dennis and Merna Koula, investigator Kurt Papenfuss won't say whether the likely suspect lives in the La Crosse area, but he's optimistic that an arrest could be made soon. The department is waiting for more evidence reports from the state crime lab.
