Murder May Lead To Insanity Plea
Insanity pleas may be coming in a murder case working it's way though
the courts in Juneau County.
29 year old Cody Treul, an Air National Guardsman, has been ordered to stand trial for allegedly shooting his girlfriend to death, and wounding another woman in Mauston back in May. Treul had a preliminary hearing Monday in Juneau County Circuit Court on charges of homicide, attempted homicide, and reckless endangerment.
A sheriff’s detective testified that Treul pointed a gun at several people at a tavern courtyard before he killed 29 year old Gail Howland and wounded 23 year old Ebony Lasher. The detective said Howland was shot 10 times. She was reportedly breaking up with Treul.
