Court Ruling On Marriage Amendment Upsets Some

Plenty of people in Wisconsin may be upset by the state Supreme Court's ruling upholding the statewide ban on same-sex marriage.

But some may be more disturbed by the ruling's effect on future lawmaking, than on how it affects relationships. Wisconsin Democracy Campaign director Mike McCabe worries that the court decision could lead political groups to mislead the voters, by putting too much into a referendum.  The court decided unanimously that it was okay to combine two issues on one referendum, and they concluded that voters were NOT deceived by the language of the gay marriage question.
