New Garbage Trucks Incorporate Tech Tracking, Fuel Options

The days of garbage simplicity are in the past.  Some of the garbage changes coming to La Crosse make that very clear.  Along with automated pick-up will be smart garbage trucks, armed with cameras, GPS and RFID chip readers



From Harter's Quick Clean up, Gary Harter is spending over three hundred thousand dollars on each of the new trucks, which will also replace the regular diesel engines with much cheaper to operate and quieter compressed natural gas engines.
