Food Assistance Junk Foods Limits Pass Committee

Trips to the grocery store could come with a bunch more limits for those on food stamps in Wisconsin.  A bill passing through an assembly committee would limit junk food purchases for those on food assistance.  Republican state rep Dean Kaufert's bill



Kaufert originally wanted to make no junk food purchases available under food assistance.  In a compromise move, the new measure mandates just two-thirds of food assistance money get spent on healthy foods.
