Economic Standards to Council Again

A delayed vote on economic development incentive standards for the city of La Crosse could occur as soon as next month.  The city council considers a standards policy that would emphasize creating a uniform incentive practice, says council president Dick Swantz

Swantz says a key part of the economic standards would have prospective developers proving that, without city help, a project wouldn't get done.
