No Pay For New Garbage System

The Onalaska Common Counci approved a seven year waste
disposal contract that will feature automated pickup and an
expansion of the types of materials that can be recycled. City Engineer Jarrod Holter tells us that quite a few city residents are wondering how much extra they will pay in 2014 when the new system starts.

The seven year contract with Harter Quick Cleanup for waste disposal services includes providing each household with two 64 gallon wheeled carts, one for rubbish and one for recycling. It should be ready to roll in January.
