Suspect In Tomah Murder Still In Illinois

She turned herself in last week, but a woman accused of a Tomah murder isn't ready yet to appear in a Wisconsin court.

The D-A's office in Sparta says Tammy Cole still has a court hearing in northern Illinois within the next couple of days. Monroe County Prosecutor Dan Cary tells us Cole hasn't agreed to leave Illinois yet. The 46-year-old woman surrendered to cops in the Rockford area last week, after police identified her as the main suspect in the April shooting of Tomah bar owner Vance Evans. An attorney for Cole told Tomah police that the woman was involved in an accidental shooting in Tomah the day Evans died.
