Escaped Convict Sentenced In Florida.....More Charges To Come
The court process wheels are spinning in Florida for a man who escaped
from a prison in Black River Falls last year. 29 year old James Newman pled no contest to Fleeing Law Enforcement Officers, Grand Theft, Resisting Without Violence, and Operating Without Valid License. He was sentenced to one year in the Broward County Jail of which he has already served 240 days.
Now Newman and 18 year old James Mislevic, who also escaped last July from the correctional center, face more serious charges in Hillsborough County, Florida. There they are accused of robbery and the beating of a 71 year old convenience store clerk.
Both have already been charged with federal felony gun possesion charges in Wisconsin and they still face charges of escape.
