Snowy And Nasty Sums Up Today

The snowstorm that has impacted much of Wisconsin today is starting to

down. There are still pockets that will receive another 1-2” of snow this afternoon. The heaviest snow has been reported in western Wisconsin with some areas receiving 8-10”. Areas in southwest Wisconsin are reporting 3-6”.


The National Weather Service anticipates the Winter Weather Warnings and Advisories will be cancelled after the rush hour traffic. Earlier today, there were numerous reports of slide offs and accidents. Roads are slippery and snow packed and travelers should anticipate slow commutes.


Snow Totals: As of 3:00 p.m., the NWS reports the following snow totals:

* Trempealeau –10”
* Arcadia – 8”
* Osceola – 7”
* LaCrosse – 6-7”
* Thorp – 6”
* Madison – 5-6”
* Grant County – 5”
* Juneau County – 4”
* Milwaukee – 2-4”
* Eau Claire – 2”
