Indictment Handed Down In Fort McCoy Thefts
Some serious Fed time could be coming for ripping off Fort McCoy.
21 year old Justin Waterhouse of New Auburn, is charged in an indictment with
stealing property of the United States and three counts of selling property of
the United States. The indictment alleges that in February 2012, he stole night
vision monoculars and gun sights with an aggregate value in excess of $3,000
from Fort McCoy. The indictment also alleges that on three occasions between
February and April 2012, he sold some of these stolen items to other
individuals.
Waterhouse was originally charged in an indictment returned
by the grand jury on May 30, 2012. In February 2012, Waterhouse was a member of
the United States Army.
If convicted, Waterhouse faces a maximum penalty
of 10 years in federal prison on each count.
