Father From Bangor In Court For Reckless Baby Death

"Call 9-1-1, my baby's dead."

That's what neighbors heard a Bangor woman shouting early Thursday morning, after she arrived home to find that her baby girl was not breathing. The child's father has been arrested on a charge of child neglect. Bond for Sean Meyer has been set at 10-thousand dollars. Meyer told police that he was watching the baby, named Evelin, while her mother was out for the evening. Meyer said he put a bean bag chair on a couch, and placed the baby atop the bean bag. Then the father fell asleep, and woke up later to find that the baby had fallen to the floor, and the bean bag fell off the couch and onto the child.
