Council Likely to Delay To Key Votes
Tonight, likely La Crosse city council votes to avoid making a couple of key decisions. The council is expected to affirm votes from earlier this week to put off for ninety days verdicts on whether to implement new, higher inspection fees and a new policy for economic development incentives. City councilman Chris Olson says the inspection fees especially seem to have taxpayers in a tizzy
In both the fees and incentive policies, council members say they want to further evaluate the proposals. The ninety day delay means no decision on either until after spring elections for city council and mayor.
