New Jobs Report Fails to Sway Anti-Mine Group

Maybe those job arguments for an iron mine in Wisconsin aren't that far off.  A new study finds Minnesota's iron mining industry is responsible for nearly 12 thousand jobs in that state.  That may be true, says Anne Sayers, from League of Conservation Voters in Wisconsin.  But for how long?



Sayers says the mining bill that would allow an open pit iron mine in northern Wisconsin removes too many environmental safeguards from the mine approval process.
