More police officers?  More firefighters?  Current La Crosse mayor Matt Harter has bristled at the thought.  But a new mayor might see things differently.  And the police chief apparenlty wants to add more police to create a special street crimes unit.  We asked city council president Audrey Kader how likely it might be to add more public safety employees in the city

Kader says an efficiency consultant that the city council plans to hire will likely have input on prioritizing where to add more positions and where some might be cut in the city.
