Rash of Break-Ins Spurs Police Warning

A rash of recent break-ins in a neighborhood near UWL has La Crosse cops warning students to lock their doors.  Just in the last week-end, police took a handful of reports of break-ins in the Goosetown neighborhood between UWL and city hall.  Among the things missing: hundreds of dollars in cash, prescription drugs, and computer equipment.  One guy almost lost his flat screen TV, but he woke up and chased the thief away while the thug was carrying the TV down the stairs.
