Holmen Board Shoots Down Request For New Fluoride Ballot

No new referendum on fluoride in Holmen this April...

Village leaders have sent the idea of a referendum to committee, which means there's little chance it would get on the spring ballot. Retiring Holmen trustee Tony Horvath proposed a new referendum, claiming that the village did not follow legal procedure in going ahead with fluoridation after voters said 'yes' in 2008.

Another proposal from Horvath was approved by the Holmen switch to a different form of fluoride which he believes may be less harmful.
