La Crosse Fluoride Levels Likely to Decrease
A cavity-fighting agent in your drinking water appears likely to get less concentrated soon. The feds recommended a year ago to drop the level of fluoride put in municipal supplies to point-7 parts per million. The state of Wisconsin has finally agreed. The city's public works board votes on the change today. Johnson says adding less fluoride to the water supply will save the utility a few thousand dollars per year.
