Preliminary Numbers Hint at Crime Jump in La Crosse for 2012

Final crime stats for the city of La Crosse aren't
in yet for 2012, but if
trends throughout the year hold true, overall crime will
have increased in the city. According to the latest numbers available from
the city police department, crimes reported in the city inched up by four
percent. Some of the biggest jumps were in burglaries and assaults.
But police are solving more crimes, too. The crime stats show police were
solving ten percent more cases than in 2011.
