Even though last week’s first major snow storm of the season dumped eight inches on La Crosse County, local officials say the area needs more snow and colder temperatures. And when trails do open...people need to stay on them and not venture off.

Jason Guthrie with the Wisconsin Association of Snowmobile Clubs. The snowmobile trails in La Crosse County remain closed. The delay is caused by soft ground and bare spots along the 185 miles of trails in the county and that’s frustrating riders.
