No Clear Leader For Lax Mayor Race With Medinger Out

The race for mayor of La Crosse has become more of a toss-up, now that former mayor John Medinger is out of the running...
So says UWL political professor Joe Heim, who felt Medinger was clearly the leading candidate. Heim believes La Crosse voters want more experienced candidates...and that experience could come from outside the political arena.
Since Medinger ended his brief campaign, the field for mayor includes one current council member and a former councilman, along with mostly unknown candidates.
