Developer Optimistic About Zoning Approval
Some people know the ins and outs of La Crosse city hall pretty well. For them, getting approval for building projects can be less difficult; knowing which meetings to go to, which offices to visit, whose ear to bend. For Onalaska-based Pointe West developer, Jason Alberty, it hasn't really been like that
Alberty's positive outlook comes despite stiff opposition from other landlords about his proposed project for a one block area between La Crosse's downtown and UWL. He's planning a 120 bedroom building for college students with commercial spaces on the ground floor. The city council votes on a zoning change for the project tonight.
