New City Golf Course Building a Few Years Away

The current La Crosse Forest Hills golf course banquet hall is going through demolition right now.  A replacement for the building could be a few years away.   City park and rec director Steve Carlyon says it will take him maybe three years to build up enough cash to pay for a new building at the Kemper-managed city course

Carlyon says a new building will be about a fourth of the size of the current facility and will include just enough room for a pro shop, golf cart storage and place to sit down with a sandwich and beer.   Somewhere around a million dollars.
