Accused Armed Robber Faces Additional Charges
Already facing charges for a couple of armed robberies, a Baraboo man has accumulated at least a couple of other criminal charges stemming from what appears to be his own little personal crime spree. 27 year-old Anthony Keepers was arrested in October after apparently robbing a Sparta store at gunpoint, taking off with two cartons of Newports and some cash and leading cops on a high speed chase in a stolen car. They caught up to Keepers after he flipped the car. They say video surveillance got him robbing a northside La Crosse just a couple of weeks before that. Now, he's been charged with burglary and criminal damage after apparently targeting a southside veterinary clinic and a building supply store at about the same time. Keepers remains in jail in Monroe county.
