DNR Talks Hunter Safety

A man was killed Monday night in the town of Superior when he was accidentally shot by his deer hunting companion. An occurrence seen before in Wisconsin during the gun deer hunting season. The DNR's, Kevin Wallenfang says that incident is a part of their motto.

The shooting victim is 27 year old Garrett Carr of Oliver. His hunting companion was 31 year old Michael Thomson of Superior. Thomson shot Carr when he mistook him for a deer. Carr was wearing blaze orange clothing at the time. His death was the fourth reported hunting related fatality this season in Wisconsin.
