138 Points For Former UW-L Player

Jack Taylor, a 5-foot-10, 170-pound sophomore from Black River Falls, was trying to break out of a scoring slump at Grinnel College that had bothered him over the weekend, so his coaches told him to lock and load. And he did...and they weren't blanks. Taylor went off last night scoring 138 points and broke the NCAA scoring record. UW-L Eagles Head Coach, Ken Koelbl, had Taylor on his squad last year.

Overall, he took 79 percent of his team’s shots, which is by design. The feat was even noticed in the NBA ranks as Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers said I don’t care what level you’re at. Scoring 138 points is pretty insane.
