Same day voter registration could be in its waning days in Wisconsin.,  Certainly governor Scott Walker has said he'd like to get rid of it.  And West Salem village clerk Theresa Schnitzler agrees with the governor that registering people on election day is time consuming

But Schnitzler also believes getting rid of same day registration would be a disservice to voters.  She had 300 same day registrants on November 6th who would not have been able to vote otherwise.
