La Crosse Airport Shows Strength In Numbers
Solid numbers have come in about what exactly the La Crosse Airport brings to the region. A study is done every 5 years on the airports contribution to the local and state economy. It showed that the airport provided $38.3 million in economic output, supported 416 jobs, and contributed $17.6 million in wage income to the local and state economy in 2011. We asked airport manager, Clint Torp, if the economic numbers were higher or lower from the last study done.
Torp emphasized the need for the community to continue supporting the Airport by utilizing it whenever possible to ensure its long term success and growth.
