Can Campaign Finance Reform Work
Enforceable campaign finance reform. Can it become a reality? Not according to one local political professor .
UW-L Professor, Joe Hiem, says conservative groups spent the majority of the money, but it didn’t translate to overall success. It was the first presidential election since the Supreme Court ruled to lift restrictions on campaign contributions from corporations and unions. Heim says reversing the court’s decision would be difficult.
