Students Robbed in Myrick Park
Two young guys in La Crosse this week-end were victims of an unusual robbery. The two 19 year-old UWL students were in Myrick Park by the marsh at 2:30 Sunday morning when they were robbed by a couple of middle-aged guys on an ATV. The crooks introduced themselves as TIm and Tom, flashed a weapon and took off with about ten bucks in cash. The victims say the robbers were actually pretty chatty, sharing some information about themselves. The one calling himself Tim was even a bit friendly, returning some of the stolen money. Tom wasn't so friendly; he grabbed one of the guys by the throat. The victims described both crooks as white guys in their forties. The taller guy, Tim, was dressed in camo, wearing duck calls around his neck.
