Still some stiff resistance for a big development aimed at the mid-section of La Crosse.  Pointe West Investments is hoping for some re-zoning help from the city to put up a big college student housing space in between State and Vine Streets and just west of West Avenue.  But competing landlord Brett Sawyer  is one among many with complaints

Sawyer and other landlords are peeved that Pointe West wants to get an exemption from the one parking space per bedroom standards that are currently on the books in the city. The city council will likely put off a decision on rezoning for another month.
