Warming Center Opens

The La Crosse Warming Center opened to all adults last week and that includes people suffering from mental health or addiction problems as long as they are acting calm and respectful. It's located on the lower level of First Baptist Church, on the corner of West Avenue and Main Street.

Mary Fitzpatrick the Center Director adds that the center is run entirely by volunteers and they still need some help this coming winter. The Warming Center relies on donations to keep them open; they are seeking monetary donations as well as coffee, utensils, cleaning supplies and breakfast items like cereal bars, pop tarts and fruit.
