Feehan Defends Against Attendance Criticism

County board meeting attendance is one of the things state senate candidate Bill Feehan is defending himself against less than three weeks before an election.  He's been criticized by the Jennifer Shilling campaign for missing too many meetings on the board.  Feehan says he missed about as many regular meetings as state representatives Jill Billings and Steve Doyle.

After checking the attendance records for regular meetings during the two year stint Feehan had on the board, we counted nine meetings missed in whole or in part.  Eight for Jill Billings during the same period.  Six for Steve Doyle.  Feehan did miss 14 of 24 meetings for the county Health and Human Services board.
